What is True Love?

So there's a beautiful line by one of the famous spiritual gurus Osho, he says that if you love a flower do not pluck it, because if you pluck it dies and ceases to be what you love. So if you love a flower let it be. Love is not about possession, it is about appreciation and I think this very line speaks of everything what love is about. Love isn't about having something, love isn't about owning someone. It is not love, if it induces worry. It is not love, if it inflicts pain and sadness. Love is about letting go. Love is about complete freedom. It is a state of bliss. it is some sort of serenity that helps our soul escape the confinement of our body from this mundane reality. That's what love is.

And I don't understand why the love for God ushers us to the path of spirituality, enlightenment, emancipate us whereas love for human being gives us pain, sadness, and worry? Why there is such a difference? Are we not part of God? Are we not made up of that same stardust? Then why do we have such a contrast of feelings? I mean think about it. If love was meant to be entwining of two souls then why do we have this body serving as a gateway to this divine providence. If love is some sort of cosmic energy then why do we need to gaze in our lover's iris to fall into the abyss of love?

And I think therein lies the problem. The problem is as long as we have this body as a facade to this divine love, as long as we don't dissolve our body and get bare with just our soul we won't actually feel what love is. Love is some sort of conduit through which God brings us closer to them. We escalate ourselves from this mortal living being to some sort of demigod status. we literally feel that apotheosis in us while we're in love. We start resonating and emitting those same vibes of that very first atom that boomed and started big bang and created this never-ending universe. We break through the limitation of five sense organs. We get over the barrier of languages. The tongue we used so far to communicate becomes a waste part of our body. You can literally peer into our lover's eye and can feel his or her emotions without even a single word being uttered. This is love. You know love is independence, love is transcendence, Love is ineffable liberation.  Love is a beautiful thing. So  just fall in love
