In our perspective, death seems to be a final destination. It might not be for every single person, but for most of us, it is the case. Scientifically speaking, after you are dead, if you are burned, you get scattered as heat back to the cosmos that engendered you - stardust. You become food for the worms if you are buried. The way you kept yourselves dining on nature the same way you are dined back by nature to keep itself alive. Spiritually we see death as another dimension. You are not your body, not your mind. You are more than that. But frankly, no matter how much we spiritualize or rationalize death but it doesn't assure us in our bereavement. Even if we ignore our own death but we are still shaken by other's demise. Death is a loss without the possibility of being found. Once one is lost, you don't find him ever again. So how many of us have seen themselves in the mirror? - almost everyone right. We love seeing ourselves. We love gazing at our reflection. We have an obsessive admiration for our face for the beauty hold - but how many of us standing in front of the mirror see beyond this mirage of beauty, peers beneath the illusion of prettiness, envision the raw self - the self which is unadulterated of any beautification and glamour or in other words - how many of us see themselves as an animal in the reflection the way we see every other animals on the planet?  Hardly any I guess unless you're not high on weed. This is  2018 which means  2018 years have passed since the birth of Jesus. It's like lots of years. Everything around us has evolved. The things that took days to complete are now done in seconds. We have got everything in our fingers tip. We hardly need to leave our houses if not for office. Technology has given us a way for everything from shopping to socializing to handling our business. Even, for the thing, as intimate as getting a partner, technology has drastically made our life easier and better. Human beings have put an immense amount of time and effort in replicating nature. Every discovery and invention and art is nothing but to show our self-reliance-  to prove that we don't necessarily need to rely on nature for everything. We can build things of our own, though, inspired by nature but it's our own creation, by our own mind and hands. Humans are an amazing creature. Human beings are invincible species. We are the miracle of this universe. We are the gateway to this infinite unfathomable universe. We, humans, have this intrinsic desire to be accompanied, to have someone's hand in our hand and can walk by our side, to hug someone when we are overwhelmed with emotions. Someone whom we can look up to when things are upside down. When we are haunted by ghoulish darkness we expect someone to come by with a candle and light our way. Humans are dark-averse beings. We get terrified when the languished in the dark. We get scared when we are stranded alone in a solitary way. We feel we are being strangled if we are asked to walk alone. To us, darkness signifies absence. It reflects the emptiness. It emanates the loneliness and you know lonely is the least we all want to be. But I don't think being alone is that bad or is scary the way it has been perceived by most of the people. We can never stand outside of human conversation and talk about reality as it is or truth as it is. We never come into contact with the naked truth. All we have is our conversation and our tools of augmenting our conversation. All we really have that the currency of truth is whatever successfully passes muster in a conversation. So I say something that I think is true and it seems to work for you. We are playing similar language game and some people disagree they criticize what we are claiming to be true and we go back and forth. And all we ever have is this kind of ever-expanding horizon line of successful conversations that allow us to do things that are very persuasive. I don’t know where it all started. I don’t know who created this never-ending mystery of life and death. Maybe in a blink, Big Bang started where every matter in the universe formed free of its will or it’s all by the grace of God, where each and every matter in the universe is a puppet to its will. So as they say that life comprises of two things - happiness and sadness. With the absence of one, it won't be called life. A person without setbacks and sorrows doesn't get to understand what life is as much as the person without success and excitement. These are the two pivotal pillars of the bridge that we walk-on that keeps us balanced and stable. God forbid if any of these pillars fall the bridge collapses and the very idea of life shatters and we are buried deep down under the debris of this scattered life. So the question arises - is it really necessary for us to have these two contradicting emotions to lead a fulfilled life. So in these past couples of days, I have been stumbling upon this idea of music and its importance in our life. What sort of contribution music has in our life? What do we get listening to a beautiful track?  Why do we get drenched with emotions when we listen to a romantic song even when it is just certain vibrations of molecules that propagate through air and bangs our eardrum? How does this even succeed in inducing those enzymes in our brain that makes us feel happy or sad? Well if you ask me I don't know. I don't know actually. You know although we have a scientific explanation to this, I don't think music is something that can solely be explained on a premise of scientific research which is just as old as we human beings. So there's a beautiful line by one of the famous spiritual gurus Osho, he says that if you love a flower do not pluck it, because if you pluck it dies and ceases to be what you love. So if you love a flower let it be. Love is not about possession, it is about appreciation and I think this very line speaks of everything what love is about. Love isn't about having something, love isn't about owning someone. It is not love, if it induces worry. It is not love, if it inflicts pain and sadness. Love is about letting go. So we live in a world where we are constantly bombarded with negativity, violence, and crime. Social media has been a catalyst in giving us this heart-wrenching feedback. Every morning when you scroll down your newsfeed and instead of being happy of your friends' post you get sad by seeing the pathetic condition of your surroundings - the society where you live, the world where you reside. The ongoing crisis in Syria, the largest humanitarian crisis of our time - the biggest exodus after world war 2. The rising xenophobia in  Europe and America.
